3 Quick Apply Full-time 4 hours ago Full Job Description The Chef Manager is a HANDS-ON working chef/manager, responsible for all aspects of the culinary, retail and service aspects of the operation managing a staff of 6-8 people.
Must have at least 3 years experience.
The Chef Manager is responsible for food cost, retail pricing and the development of menus.
The Chef Manager will also be responsible for a daily lunch menu, daily soup and pricing of items prepared.
The Chef Manager ensures proper equipment operation/maintenance; and ensures proper safety and sanitation at all times.
They will be responsible to maintain the highest professional sanitation standards and must be ServSafe certified.
The Chef Manager will report directly to the owners and is afforded the ability to discipline and conduct performance reviews.
They will meet regularly with the owners to review prior results and plan for future results.
The Chef Manager will occasionally be responsible to meet with potential clients, and to oversee production and execution of offsite catering functions, as well as take phone calls regarding catering and kitchen orders.

Handle all encounters with team members and customers in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
Manage all aspects of the kitchen operation and retail deli operation, to include:
production lists for ordering and inventory of product.
Responsible for the quality control of all products.
Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly, both oral and written.
Must be able to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
Strong organizational and time management skills are essential to success in this role.
Ensure compliance with all health sanitation regulations.
Interact with outside vendors.
Review the daily order board to ensure that the catering and retail deli department are managing their production responsibilities Ensure all staff are cross trained to ensure that service is always at a superior level, should a staff member not be on site Perform other duties as requested by management Must have some knowledge of computers and maintain ingredient labeling program and monthly or bi-weekly menus Dunns Corners Market is a family owned business in operation for 33 years.
