Responsibilities:
Work to implement and engage in fun activities planned by the Activities Director on a daily, weekly, and monthly basisExamples:
birthday parties, card games, holiday-themed parties, bingo, dancing, etc.
Activities are meant to provide resident engagement, fun, physical and mental stimulation, and coordination in our nursing home settingActivities assisstants must be able to work every other weekendCollecting feedback on events and activities from our residents Here is what is needed to be part of this amazing team:
Prior recreation/activities experience in a nursing home preferredAcitivities experience preferredHigh School Diploma or GEDMust be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English languageMust demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents servedMust possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general publicBe available to work the scheduled hours Flexibility is needed to work extended hours and/or weekends if neededHave a passion for helping others, being creative, professional, and engaging in recreational activitiesWork well in a team environment, with excellent communication and customer service skillsPrimary series of the COVID Vaccination required Proudly Supported by Marquis Health Consulting ServicesAbout the Company:
